All credit for today’s find has to go to the lovely Megan who, following my last post on altered book art, led me to these wonderful creations by Su Blackwell. I can’t believe I hadn’t come across her stuff before, it’s just my cup of tea. Thanks missy!

I find nos 6 and 8 particularly striking. Women and woods are the two things that most often crop up in my writing. (Wonder why?)
The light effect in no 8 is particularly special, although I'm not sure about the box as background. I can see the point idealogically, but I don't know that it works visually.
aren't her works stunning, i was soooo lucky last autumn to be up in edinburgh when one of the galleries there had some of her pieces on show. incredible the detail & work that has gone into them! (its lovely to be back and catching up with you all x)
WOW! Again, you've knocked my socks off. What a great place to stop and visit with a cup of morning coffee. Thanks! - Kathy
JJ- I actually like the box, I think in the right setting it could work really well.
Ruthie- So glad to see that you're back, I've missed all your lovely finds! That exhibition sounds wonderful, I saw some of her installations on her website and they looked great.
Kathy- Hello again! Glad you enjoyed them (and your coffee)!
Roisin, I'm away for a couple of weeks and come back to find so many wonderful things here to see on your blog. You do have the talents of finding the most spectacular items on the internet. These pieces of art are of no exception. The imagination is magnificent to see it come to life in such a way as these pieces here. The artist is truly spectacular and gifted in what they create.
Hugs,
Lori
Ah Lori, you're so sweet :) And it's great to see you back. I completly agree about these, but I'm afraid I can't take any credit for finding them. It was Megan who pointed me in their direction. Thanks for your kind comments though!
I'm so glad you liked it! Her work is amazing isn't it. And I'm glad everyone liked it too!
Thank you for crediting me too! You are so lovely.x
You're welcome Megan, and thanks- you're lovely too!
