I came across these photographs by Norwegian conceptual artist Rune Guneriussen ages ago and I’m not sure why I didn’t share them before. Maybe I just forgot, but I seem to remember not being overly fond of them the last time round. Strange, cause when I rediscovered them this afternoon I was really quite taken by their quirky charm. I suppose it all depends on mood, doesn’t it. Today they’re triggering all sorts of weird connections in my brain.
One such connection involves a forgotten memory of being bored while visiting elderly relatives when I was little. To amuse myself as the adults yapped on I’d imagine all the furniture and stuff coming to life and escaping. Kind of like a depressing version of Toy Story. What is it about OAP’s homes? They’re always so dreary and hot and grey and with that pervasive tick-tocking clock they all seem to have. Seriously, when I hit my later years all time-telling devices will be promptly thrown out the window… Anyway, back to the actual pictures!

Those photos are so ethereal and beautiful, I love them. Thank you so much for sharing these!
WOW! Now this is just getting eerie. I spotted some of these lamps-in-the-forest pictures a while back, but could not for the life of me find any connection back to their actual source. Thank you for posting this! I love these photographs so much. They remind me of some of the first dreams I ever remember having... I'm so glad to know were they actually came from. Mystery solved!
Theses are awesome! =D
They totally brightened up my night! XD
(please forgive the above horribly bad pun... I really couldn't resist...)
So whimsical! I especially love the third one, it really looks like a little magical path ^^
I love these photos, it feels like you could just step right into them, follow the lamps down the path and see where they lead...
Happy you all liked them, dunno why I didn't share them when I found them first time round. The thrid one's my favourite too :)
p.s Laura, that is too spooky. As I said, great minds...
p.p.s Analee, you're forgiven but only just ;)
~i would l♥ve to take a walk through such place...their glowing emits and creates quite a stir inside me...warm wishes and brightest blessings~
I'm really taken with that first one. Reminds me of the opening scenes in the latest film of "The Lion, The Witch, And the Wardrobe" where the girl goes through the wardrobe for the first time and meets Mr. Tumnus
