Yesterday I decided to head out and hunt for spring. It was my first day off in a week when the weather was simply glorious. Inevitably, yesterday was miserable. No, what is it the weatherman says? Fresh. Yes, yesterday was very fresh.
I started off with a stroll around the river hoping to find some bluebells or primroses, but if they’ve sprouted yet they had gone back into hiding yesterday. So I thought a wee wander along the shore might blow the cobwebs away. I was right, I just wish I had brought some chapstick. The weather gave the added advantage of isolation, though, and I hardly saw another being for three hours.
I enjoyed the optimism of this sign on such a blustery, lonely day:
