Hi folks! How’re you all doing this evening? Still enjoying the festivities I hope. Sorry I’ve not been on here sooner to pass on season’s greetings and such things, and I’m even more sorry that I don’t actually have anything nice to share with you today either. I’ve been having a pretty vacant week, you see. I was lucky enough to have a lovely Christmas day, really lovely, but since Monday I’ve been laid up in bed with the winter flu. There seems to be a bit of an epidemic going around here since the thaw- which was pretty insane, I might add. One day last week it was -16C and in a matter of hours the temperature rose to +10C. Madness!
Anyway, I’m not going to complain too much as it’s the first time I’ve had the flu in years so I was kinda due a wee dose. Plus if there’s ever a week you want to be stuck indoors it’s this one- so many new books to read and cheesy films on TV. It’s not very conducive to blogging though; not only have I been doing absolutely nothing and thus have nothing to chat to you all about, but also I didn’t even have the energy until today to turn my computer on so I’ve no quirky internet finds or links to share. All in all this a pretty pointless post really, except to say hello and to let you know that I haven’t abandoned the blog (heaven forbid!). Well, as I said, hope you all enjoying the rest this holiday week and for any fellow flu-zies out there just remember that a giant mug of hot whiskey and a couple of nurofen be the cure for all evils!*
*Please note that to be highly irresponsible and unsound medical advice, so if you’re probably better just ignoring it. Still, it makes you feel better!

Get well soon, dearest. especially now, where the year is drawing to an end! I had a lovely christmas, thank you. Should you come to germany, go to berlin. I live very close to it, so we could meet each other in real:) But let me ask you one question: What makes you think germany is the most christmasy country in the world? It might me true so but I never thought about that fact^^ and last but not least: I didn't get the chance to watch the 80's version of the chronicles of narnia, yet. I only know the new one...
Poor flu-zie (that cracked me up!)...feel better soon! ;-) A nice hot toddy will indeed cure what ails you! Glad to hear you had a Merry Christmas. Happy New Year!
Aww I hope you are feeling better soon! I'm happy to hear that your Christmas went well. I have a long weekend starting tomorrow and am starting your cozy little scarf! I will knit in some get better wishes.
The flu is awful. I've only had it once, but it is a miserable way to feel. Hopefully you're feeling better by now.
We have had crazy temperature changes here too - first an ice storm, then the next day warm and sunny enough to wear a tshirt, then a good layer of snow on Christmas day (snow is unusual where I live!) and then back to warm, and then back to freezing, and then back to warm again. Crazy planet!
Take care, Roisin, and stay warm and wrapped. I'm ill too with a cold and cough so that hot whisky sounds the thing! Have a wonderful New Year!
Do you know that practically everyone I know was sick over Christmas? Here in the states and across the pond. Strange, huh? I'm glad you're feeling better. Whiskey and painkillers. Yup. Definitely a "Kill the Flu" cocktail!!! LOL
Hope you get to feeling better!
And a Happy New Year to you! :0)

Aw, thanks for all the well wishes folks. God, I feel like I'm always moaning about something here! It's only a little flu though, which judging from your comment Kathy, the whole world seems to be down with at the minute! Plus, I'm feeling much better now thanks :) Hopefully that'll be my quota for the next few years used up now. Anyway, thanks again for all the lovely comments and I hope whatever you're all up to this evening you have a blessed and mgical night. Happy new year!!!
