Your Five-A-Day, Crocheted!

Before I do anything today I really have to first say thank you so much for all your kind comments on my last post. With retrospect it really was all a bit whiney, so sorry too. Thanks and sorry! That’ll be the end of the medical chat for a while anyway, don’t worry.

Right, on to more pleasant subjects! Like these adorable crochet vegetables from Japanese artist jungjung. Maybe I’m a wee bit brain-dead today ’cause I’m finding it hard to put into words exactly why I love these delicate little beauties so much. They are just so cute and lovely!  Knowing they’re from Japan really adds to their appeal too, at least for me. There’s something about that country that has mesmerized me since childhood; their language, their culture, even just the fact their islands form the shape of a seahorse. Thinking on it, I’m surprised I don’t post more Japanese-related stuff here. A plan for the new year, me thinks!

Crocheted veggies. wow and weird Wait - maybe added to a scarf? It could be kind of nifty.

I had to go back and read the blog post I obviously missed! You poor thing! Don't doctors just drive you batty!?! I'm like you. Half the time I think it's sort of a crap-shoot for them. "Here, dear. Let's try this. If you live through it, we'll consider it a success!" Good luck you sweet thing. My thoughts are with you.

These are very beautiful, even if a bit odd. I like how delicate they look. And the colors are gorgeous too. ^-^

I can totally see why you like them! ^-^

They have a charming delicacy. I don't normally like pretend-veggie things but these are quite delightful. I'm definitely going to visit the link to see more.

About your health-thing, I have heard about these and send you hearty sympathy and get-well wishes. I hope you are on the mend and don't need so many ops!

How very cool! You always find the neatest stuff! These veggies would be great in a housewarming present...
And everyone has to vent. A burden isn't as heavy when it is shared. ♥

Ohhhhhhh - "she" is in love and drooling all over my fur. Gotta run over to jungjung and check these cuties out. Maybe worth giving up some of my catnip funds to keep my fur drool-free. As for all-things-Japanese...."she" too has a great respect and love for the culture. Purrhaps you could find a Japanese language class with a real Japanese person teaching....you'll end up learning about the culture as well as the language!

Purrs!

They're perfect! I'm finding all kind of magic in the land of crochet recently. Have you seen the crocheted mould on Etsy?
