By The Light Of The Silvery Moon

Being a trained journalist and still pursuing my increasingly futile quest to gain employment in that area, I try to keep myself fairly up-to-date with what’s going on in the world. So how the hell did this pass me by? Maybe because it’s out of this world, he he he. (Sorry, that was uncalled for.) Still, can’t believe I missed this one. And the science section’s one of my favourites too! I even remember them launching this rocket and everything:

Did you read it, did you hear? The moon is actually made of silver! Ok, so there’s only trace amounts of it in the lunar soil but let me have my notions.  It’s silver I tells ya! Realistically though folks, perfectly lovely as that thought is and all, how long do you give them before they start mining?

p.s You’d think if I was talking about a news story tonight there may just be another wee topic that should have my attention. I wonder, whatever could it be… Ah who cares about it anyway, the moon is made of silver! La la, la la la…

Howdy-do there Missy! You know, with all of the news stories I've been reading about Ireland this weekend - I'd concentrate on the silver lining of the moon too. It may be just what we're all looking for! This was great. I also missed this story. Glad you brought it to my attention! Have a wonderful week. - Kathy

First off, happy bloggie bday! My computer was twitchy & wouldn't let me comment the other day... hmph.

Mining the moon is a terrible idea... didn't anyone watch the new Time Machine? Yup... THE SKY IS FALLING!!!

Ahem. Icy rain is indeed shit, and I hope we avoid that. Now that the snow is partly melted-then-re-frozen, it's pretty icy here. Bleh...

If only I had a fire place... that would be awesome. At the moment, I'll have to settle for using my oven, as the snow caught me a bit by surprise & I have yet to go buy a heater. Friday is heater purchasing day! Woohoo! ^-^
Fortunately, my apartment is the size of a large closet & therefore easy to heat.

XD

Hope you have a supremely wonderful Monday!

xoxo

Maybe all those song writers knew something.

ugh, mankind... now we're going to occupy and dig up another place in the Universe. like it wouldn't be enough that we're leaving all our space-mission waste on the Moon. don't get me wrong though, the discovery itself is really quite something. I always thought there is more to Moon than just the silvery color.
